Heli-Skiing in Switzerland

With its ease of access and location in the heart of the Alps, Switzerland is the perfect place to get a taste for heli-skiing. From bases in Verbier, Zermatt, Arolla and Chamonix, we offer a wide range of different adventures, including a variation of the Classic Chamonix to Zermatt, Haute Route.

Heli-skiing in Switzerland, and in Europe in general, is totally different to the vast wilderness areas like British Columbia and Alaska. With only a limited number of designated landings and pickups, your choice of run is dictated more by where you are allowed to land than it is by where the best snow conditions are.

That said, the Swiss Alps can offer some of the most spectacular, long descents imaginable and its rich mountain culture, charming traditional villages and delicious food and wine are all part of the experience.

The A-Star B2 helicopter is the most frequently used for heliskiing in Switzerland. It transports four skiers plus guide.
Over the course of a normal winter the Swiss Alps have lots of sunny days.
Verbier and Arolla are within easy reach of most European cities and make a perfect weekend escape.
Unlike many other heliski destinations where you can easily make 10-15 runs a day, the norm in Switzerland is to make 1-2 long descents per day.
