Meteorologen Ski Lodge

Situated at an elevation of 500 metres in the high-alpine area of Sweden's north, close to the border with Norway, and almost 400 km above the Arctic Circle, the ski resort of Riksgransen is one of the most northerly ski resorts in the world.

Despite being relatively low in terms of elevation, the mountains in Arctic Sweden maintain reliable snow and cold temperatures right through until May. If you are based in Europe and want to heli-ski without travelling half way around the world, Sweden is both convenient and practical for either a week-long trip or an extended weekend.

Access to 5,000 km2 of pristine Arctic wilderness including the possibility to ski from the summit of Sweden's highest mountain - Kebnekaise (2,106 metres).

Ski Under The Midnight Sun

Due to its northerly latitude good snow conditions persist well into the spring months and by the end of May there are almost 24 hours of daylight.

Ease of Access

With direct flights to Sweden's north from Denmark, Norway and Sweden Riksgränsen is incredbibly accessible for somewhere so remote.

This is our regular programme that has two groups of four or five heli-skiers sharing the use of one helicopter. We offer three, four and seven day ski trips from mid -March to end of May.
What's Included

3, 4 or 7 days of heliskiing including 2.5, 5 or 7.5 hours of helicopter flying time.

3, 4 or 7 nights of accommodation at Meteorologen Ski Lodge in Riksgränsen (double occupancy).

All meals throughout your stay.

Complete safety equipment; avalanche backpack, transceiver, shovel and probe.

*The helicopter time is the base for how many days we go heliskiing and how many metres of vertical drop we can do when weather conditions are good. 3 days = 2,5 hours/10 000 metres of vertical drop, 4 days = 5 hours/20 000 metres of vertical drop, and 7 days = 7,5 hours/30 000 metres of vertical drop.
